Ed's Diamond Drilling Ltd are committed to maintaining the highest standards of Health and Safety for the Diamond Drilling and Sawing trade, and in every area of our business and workforce.
We have all relevant policies and insurance in place for being a top drilling contractor and review them annually and throughout the year when required.
Full detailed Risk and Method Statements specific to diamond drilling and sawing are completed prior to the commencement of each project.
They can be delivered to site in paper form by one of our operatives before any drilling or sawing work is completed on site, or sent via email prior to arrival.
Ed's Diamond Drilling Ltd checks and services all of our diamond drilling equipment and regularly performs PAT testing.
All of our workforce are highly qualified and expertly trained and hold qualifications in the following:

Ed's Diamond Drilling Ltd have fully trained drilling operatives with 20 + yrs experience.
Establishing and enforcing safe methods of work at all times.
Our diamond drilling operatives are required to read our detailed Risk and Method Statements prior to completing any diamond drilling or sawing work.
On each diamond drilling or sawing project they are asked to read and sign that they will follow the safe working instructions provided. In order for us to be a Safety concience drilling contractor our diamond drilling and sawing opertaives hold many certificates for Health and Safety.

Establishing and enforcing safe methods of work at all time
We provide our workforce with all necessary PPE:
- Masks - All of our operatives are provided with full face fitting certificates and renewed when required.
- Hard Hat - Checked at all times and renewed when required
- Ear Defenders - Worn at all times
- Goggles - Provided and worn at all times
- HI-V.I.S vest - Ed's Diamond Drilling High Vis-Vest is Supplied
- Uniform - Navy Uniform with our logo is provided
- Steel toe cap boots - Worn at all times
Ed's Diamond Drilling regularly provides our operatives with Face Fitting. This ensures every operatives face masks are working and protecting our operatives correctly when they are diamond drilling or sawing.
NVQ 2 Diamond Drilling and Sawing Apprenticeships
Our diamond drilling and sawing apprentices Matthew and Megan are on their first year of completing NVQ 2 in diamond drilling and Sawing.
They are being closely monitored by one of our highly trained diamond drilling operatives who has become his designated supervisor. They have been diamond drilling on a number of sites now in and around the Midlands.
They attend collage where they receive training in all aspects of diamond drilling and sawing:
- Heath and Safety
- Security in the workplace
- Operating power tools
- Efficient working environment
- Access equipment
- Diamond Drilling / Floor Sawing / Track Sawing / Chain, Ring and hand Sawing.
On completion our apprentice will receive certificates in the following:
- IPAF-Scissor lift & broom
- Fire marshal
- Abrasive wheels
- Confirmed space
- Robotic crushing
- Pasma- mobile tower
- Manual handling
- Asbestos awareness
- Health and safety awareness
- First aid
